"Aurora — dawn — the beginning of something new and lasting. Utmost — the highest commitment, the fullest effort."
I am writing this to share something I have been working on quietly for some time — a plan to bring together our family's wealth and assets into a proper structure that will protect what we have built, manage it thoughtfully, and ensure it can pass to the next generation in an orderly and meaningful way.
This is not a legal document. It is a personal commitment — my attempt to explain in plain language what I am doing, why I am doing it, and what it means for each of us. The structure I am building is designed to serve the whole family, across generations. That purpose only works if we are all aligned on what we are trying to achieve.
Wealth is not an entitlement. It is a responsibility. Each generation must earn its place — not simply inherit it. This structure is designed to support you, not to substitute for your own effort and judgment.
I love this family. Everything I have done has been for you — not always perfectly, but always sincerely. This structure is another expression of that. I hope you will receive it in that spirit.
File the LP registration with the Hong Kong Companies Registry. Open the IBKR corporate brokerage account in the name of MKA Partners Ltd as General Partner of Aurora Utmost LP.
HSBC bank account pre-engagement for the Foundation trust account. Finalise the Partnership Agreement and Foundation deed to fully execution-ready state — every detail confirmed — with no time pressure.
On Matthew's 70th birthday — Partnership Agreement and Foundation deed signed simultaneously. Trust account activated with HSBC. Aurora Utmost is live as a complete legal framework.
Asset migration into the LP — cash first from HSBC and IBKR accounts, then the CCI business interest. Each migration formally documented. Investment portfolio continues under management, now within the LP structure.
Matthew's personal letter to the Trustee — expressing his wishes for how distributions should be made to family members over time. Not legally binding, but the most important expression of his intentions for the family.
